ENID, Okla. — The Enid High School Plainsmen open their baseball season today with a trip to Arkanas. The Plainsmen are scheduled to play twice today with games at 3 p.m. against OKC Broncos and then at 6:30 p.m. against Fort Smith Southside High School (Ark.).

After completing their two-day season-opening swing through Arkansas, the Plainsmen are scheduled to open their home season Thursday against Putnam City at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

Both of today’s games can be heard on KCRC (1390 AM)

It will be the debut for new Plainsmen coach Bill Mayberry, who led Enid to the 2005 National American Legion championship.

EHS was 18-22-1 last season, losing to Jenks in the regional finals.
