ENID, Okla. —
Chisholm’s Austin Grieshober will sign to play basketball for Central Methodist University in Fayetteville, Mo., during a ceremony today, the senior said.
Grieshober chose Central Methodist over Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, electing to attend school out of state in exchange for a situation he said suited him best.
“I really like what they’ve got going on down there (at Central Methodist),” he said. “I was open to anything. I was just trying to find the best fit for me personally.”
Grieshober, who plans to major in marine biology, averaged six points for the 11-16 Longhorns during his senior season and may have an opportunity to play as a freshman at CMU, he said.
Central Methodist competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and finished 18-13 last season.
