ENID, Okla. — Lady Panthers face

No. 12 Soper at state

No. 5-ranked Pond Creek-Hunter (24-2) will face No. 12 Soper (22-11) at 1:45 p.m. today in the first round of the Class 2A state slow-pitch tournament.

The game will be played on field No. 2 at Oklahoma City’s Hall of Fame Stadium.

The Lady Panthers qualified for state by beating Davenport, 9-4 and Mason, 12-10 at the regional tournament. Soper won its regional with wins over Fort Cobb-Broxton, 13-7 and Turner, 8-3.

The winner will face the Okarche-Roff winner at 3:15 on Field No. 4.

The championship game will be at 6:15 on Field 1, the site of the Women’s College World Series.

Mooreland will play Depew at 10 a.m. today in the 3A tournament on  Field No. 4.
