Trojans shut out Turpin

ENID, Okla. — Preston Atwood ran for a touchdown and threw for two more as Oklahoma Bible Academy shut out Turpin 28-0.

Atwood threw scoring passes of 17 yards to Baylor Boyd and 25 yards to Kristian Stitt.

Adrian Moore scored OBA’s other touchdown on a pass interception return.

The Trojans improve to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in District A-1. Turpin falls to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in district.



GARBER 66, COVINGTON-DOUGLAS 16

COVINGTON — Dallas Hunt  ran for five touchdowns to lead Garber to a 66-16 win over Covington-Douglas.

Hunt’s scoring runs covered 3, 64, 11, 34 and 43 yards. He also threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Colby Canady. Trenton Harmon scored twice for the Wolverines.

Connor Nunley ran for one touchdown and caught a 31-yard scoring pass from Hunter Carl for Covington-Douglas.

The win improves Garber to 4-4 overall and 3-4 in District B-1. The Wildcats fall to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in district.



CHEROKEE 46, TIMBERLAKE 0

HELENA — Cherokee clinched the Class C3 championship with another shutout, this one 46-0 over Timberlake.

The Chiefs, ranked No. 2 in Class C, have shut out all seven opponents this season and ended this game at the half on the 45-point mercy rule.

Tanner Ducotey scored on runs of 62, 17 and 94 yards for Cherokee, 7-0 overall and 5-0 in district.

Timberlake had a first-and-goal but was unable to score. The Tigers are 5-3 overall and 3-1 in district.



KINGFISHER 72, BETHEL 0

KINGFISHER — Kingfisher’s Landon Nault scored six touchdowns and the Yellowjackets beat Bethel 72-0 in a District 3A-3 game.

Nault, who had 223 yards rushing, scored on runs of 11, 1, 2, 70 and 2 yards. He also returned a punt 25 yards for a score. Nick Smith added three touchdowns for Kingfisher.

The Yellowjackets, ranked No. 2 in Class 3A, are 8-0 overall and 5-0 in district. They have won 18 straight regular-season games.



POND CREEK-HUNTER 40 SEILING 16

POND CREEK — Trent Grimes and Harley Comeau scored two touchdowns each as Pond Creek-Hunter beat Seiling 40-16.

Grimes ran for scores of 4 and 3 yards. Comeau had TD tallies of 5 and 24 yards.

Jayseton Nelson and Cam Turner scored late touchdowns for Seiling.

The win improves the Panthers to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in District B-1. Seiling falls to 4-4 overall and 4-3.



DCLA 46, CLAREMORE CHRISTIAN 0

CLAREMORE — Six players scored touchdowns as Deer Creek-Lamont beat Claremore Christian 46-0.

Dillon Teft scored twice, on runs of 8 and 16 yards. Jesson Hodges, Bryson Holeman, Andrew McKee, Britton Stacy and Barry Bachman also scored for the Eagles.

The win improves DCLA to 3-4 overall and 3-3 in District C-3.



OKEENE 49, BEAVER 14

BEAVER — Scott Dobrinski ran for two touchdowns and threw for three more to lead Okeene to a 49-14 win over Beaver.

Dobrinski ran 14 and 35 yards for scores. He threw TD passes of 7 yards to Beau Jenkins, 38 yards to Braxton Smith and 10 yards to Blake Boeckman.

The win improves the Whippets to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in District A-1.



HENNESSEY 32, NEWKIRK 0

NEWKIRK — Tabor Johns ran for 186 yards and three touchdowns as Hennessey beat Newkirk 32-0.

Tony Mendoza ran for a score and threw an 11-yard pass to Carlos Torres for the Eagles, who have won five straight games.

Hennessey improves to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in District 2A-1.



FAIRVIEW 21, TEXHOMA 14

TEXHOMA — Joel Kliewer scored the tying and winning touchdowns as Fairview defeated Texhoma 21-14 in double overtime.

Kliewer tied the game on 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, then scored the game-winner on a 2-yard run.

The win improves the Yellowjackets to 5-3 overall and 4-1 in District A-1. The loss drops Texhoma to 5-3 and 4-1.



SHARON-MUTUAL 34, BALKO 22

BALKO — Cooper Free did it all as Sharon-Mutual beat Balko 34-22.

Free ran for 310 yards and four touchdowns, threw for another 21 yards and had seven tackles on defense.

The win improves the Trojans to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in District C-1. The loss drops Balko to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in district.



ALVA 34, TONKAWA 6

TONKAWA — Alva won its fourth straight game, beating Tonkawa 34-6 in a big District 2A-1.

The win improves the Goldbugs to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in district.



WAYNOKA 24, TYRONE 14

WAYNOKA — Waynoka beat Tyrone 24-14 in a District C-1 game.

The win improves the Railroaders to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in district.



WOODWARD 54, CACHE 12

CACHE — Woodward beat Cache 54-12 in a District 4A-1 game.

The Boomers, ranked No. 7 in Class 4A, improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in district.



BLUEJACKET 56, KREMLIN-HILLSDALE 36

KREMLIN — Bluejacket broke open a tight game and beat Kremlin-Hillsdale 56-36.

The game was tied 30-30 at the half, but Bluejacket pulled away in the second.

The loss drops the Broncs to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in District C-3.



CANTON 64, MEDFORD 14

MEDFORD — Canton defeated Medford 64-14 to win a District B-1 game.

The win improves Canton to 2-6 overall and 1-6 in district. The loss drops the Cardinals to 0-8 overall and 0-7 in district.



CARNEGIE 51, PIONEER 16



CARNEGIE — Pioneer’s woes continued Friday as the Mustangs fell to District A-3 opponent Carnegie 51-16 Friday.

The loss was the  fourth straight for the Mustangs, who fell to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the district.

The Mustangs will host Crossings Christian next week.
