ENID, Okla. — Enid’s girls will be switching up their lineup again for today’s Union tennis tournament at the Shadow Mountain Racquet Club in Tulsa.

The Acers No. 1 doubles team of Kathryn Dillingham and Alex Dick will be playing at No. 1 and No. 2 singles today.

Singles players Alexis Blasi and Gabrielle Dick will be playing at No. 1 doubles for the second straight tournament. They were second at Duncan Saturday.

Lulu Ruding will be playing with Savannah Blasi at No. 2 doubles. The duo has a 13-1 record. Ruding or Madison Blevins will be playing with Blasi at the regionals and state tournaments.

“We just want to keep them tuned up,’’ said Enid coach Darrell Herndon. “I know they will play hard because of the pride they have no matter where they are playing. But this takes off the pressure of having to defend their standings.’’

The boys will continue to experiment with their lineup.

Jason Christopherson and Connor Angleton, who were seventh at their first tournament together at Duncan Friday, will stay at No. 1 doubles.

Tyler Hallett and Blake Young will play No. 2 doubles together for the first time. Zach Kensinger and Koderick Miller will be at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.

“We just want to enhance what we did at Duncan,’’ Herndon said about the boys. “We’ll see how it goes with Tyler and Blake.’’

The field will be mostly 6A teams. Private school powers Heritage Hall and Cascia Hall will be in the field as well.
