ENID, Okla. — Enid’s boys (today) and girls (Saturday) will be among tennis’ elite when they go to the Heritage Hall Tournament of Champions the next two days.

The tournament tries to get the top finishers from last year’s state tournaments in all classes together.

The boys field includes 6A champion Edmond North, Ada, Union, Byng, Metro Christian, Cascia Hall and the host Chargers. Enid was a last-minute replacement for Jenks, which will be at a national-level tournament.

Enid and Heritage Hall are joined in the girls field by 6A champion Jenks, Ada, Duncan, Edmond North, Cascia Hall and Metro Christian. The Acers were second a year ago.

Enid hosts its own invitational Monday at Oakwood Country Club and at Crosslin Park. The rest of the field will include Jenks, Edmond North, Broken Arrow, Muskogee, Duncan, Shawnee and Ponca City.
