ENID — L.J. Kimbrough scored 25 points as Northern Oklahoma College Enid’s men trounced the Oklahoma Christian JV, 131-67 in exhibition basketball action Monday at the Mabee Center.

Kimbrough was joined in double figures by Dalen Qualls with 15, Orlstyne Wilson with 12, Kyndall Dudley with 12, Jeremy Espinoza with 11, Travis Carbajal with 10 and Gathoth Dewtang with 10.

“We got out of it what we needed to,’’ said Jets assistant coach Ryan Mahoney. “Our kids got to view the whole game with the lights on, a crowd and real officials.’’

The Eagles pressed the whole game which made the game look more like a track meet than basketball game, Mahoney said. NOC Enid led 64-31 at halftime.

“We handled it pretty well,’’ he said. “We really attacked the rim when we had opportunities and we didn’t settle too often for jump shots. We stayed aggressive.’’

The Jets will go to Salina, Kan., Friday and Saturday for games with Kansas State-Salina and Brown Mackie College respectively.

NOC Enid’s home opener will be against Hesston (Kan.) at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Mabee Center.
