EHS volleyers sweep Piedmont

ENID, Okla. — Enid’s volleyball team bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Bartlesville to sweep Piedmont 25-12, 25-14, 25-10 at Waller Middle School Thursday.

Shaylyn Vaughn had seven digs, four kills and two aces for the Pacers, who raised their record to 20-9.

Other EHS stats were Chloe Cordell, six digs, 14 kills, two aces; Sarah Blakley, five digs, three kills, two aces and three blocks; Grace Enmeier, nine digs, four kills, two aces and one block; Ashton Halper, nine digs; McKenna James, eight kills, three aces and two blocks; Taylor Smith, three digs and six kills; Taylor Foster, 13 digs and two aces; and Katrina Blom, two digs.

“The girls played exceptionally well,’’ said Enid coach Steve Bloom. “We only had one service error. We communicated better on the court. I saw a lot of enthusiasm from the girls.’’

The Pacers host Lawton at 3 p.m. today at Waller.
