Hennessey High School senior Levi Hill has verbally committed to play football for Northwestern Oklahoma State University this fall.
Hill rushed for 1,851 yards and 27 touchdowns this past season in helping to lead the Eagles to a 10-3 finish that included advancing to the state 2A semifinals. He rushed for 4,782 yards in his career with 63 touchdowns and was part of Hennessey’s back-to-back state championship teams in 2010-11.
NWOSU will be entering its second season of provisional membership in the Great American Conference after moving up from NAIA to NCAA Division II. The Rangers finished 4-7 in their first season in Division II play, ending the year on a four-game winning streak.
Also noted ... Drummond High School senior Tristan Armour is expected to sign a softball letter of intent Friday to play for Sterling College, Kan. Sterling is a four-year liberal arts college that participates in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference and is a member of the NAIA. The Warriors went 19-41 last season and were 4-13 in conference play ... Pond Creek-Hunter senior KaLanne McKee has signed a letter of intent to play softball for Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa.
