— EHS baseball at Deer Creek Edmond canceled

The Enid Plainsmen’s varsity baseball game scheduled for Friday at Edmond Deer Creek has been canceled. The Plainsmen’s final regular-season game is slated for Monday at Edmond Memorial.

EHS track heads to Stillwater today

Enid’s girls track team will be bolstered by two additions for today’s Stillwater Invitational, the last meet before next week’s regionals.

Abby Resendiz, who helped lead EHS to the state cross country meet, has reported from soccer and will be running the 800  and possibly an additional race.

Softball and soccer player Kaitlin Bell is coming out to run the sprints. She will be in the 100 and 200.

“We’ll see what they can do,’’ said Enid coach Joe Miranov. “We’re going to take everybody up there. There’s still some guys we want to see them perform.’’

Miranov said the Plainsmen will not run a full compliment of races. Alex Lofton will probably only run the 400 meters and 4x400 relay.

“We want them to get a little rest so they will have fresh legs before regionals,’’ Miranov said. “We’re pretty banged up now.’’
