Whippets bite Trojans

ENID, Okla. — Okeene’s Trent Turner ran for five touchdowns to lead the Whippets to a 54-12 win over Oklahoma Bible Academy in a District A-1 game at Commitment Field.

The Whippets built up a 34-0 lead in the first half with Turner running 27, 30 and 10 yards for scores.

OBA scored twice in the second period to make the score 34-12 at the half.

Chris Walker ran 16 yards for a touchdown, and Dillon White caught a 7-yard scoring pass from Preston Atwood.

Okeene closed out the scoring in the third period, with Turner running for two more scores and Scott Dobrinski adding the other.

The Whippets used a strong running game to control the contest, racking up 434 yards on the ground.

Okeene improves to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in district. The Trojans fall to 1-6 and 1-3.

PERRY 42, CHISHOLM 20

PERRY — Perry jumped on Chisholm early and ended up with a 42-20 win in a District 2A-1 game.

Three players scored for the Longhorns. John Voss caught a 30-yard touchdown from Tabor Charles. Bryce Stewart scored on a 1-yard run, and Luke Ball ran 4 yards for another touchdown.

The loss drops the Longhorns to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in district.

COV-DOUGLAS 58, WAUKOMIS 20

COVINGTON — Quenten Thayer scored three touchdowns and passed for another to lead Covington-Douglas to a 58-20 win over Waukomis in a District B-1 game.

Thayer’s touchdowns came on runs of 45, 6 and 7 yards. He threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Daugherty.

Justus Crites threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Zach Prince and ran 56 yards for another score to lead the Chiefs.

The win boosts the Wildcats to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in district. Waukomis falls to 1-6 and 0-6.

POND CREEK-HUNTER 52, MERRITT 24

POND CREEK — Brady Krittenbrink scored three touchdowns to lead Pond Creek-Hunter to a 52-24 win over Merritt in a District B-1 matchup.

After spotting Merritt an 8-0 lead, the Panthers scored the next 45 points to put the game away.

The win improves the Panthers to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in district.

CRESCENT 48, PIONEER 6

Undefeated Crescent defeated Pioneer 48-6 in a District A-3 game.

The win boosts Crescent to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district. The loss drops the Mustangs to 0-7 and 0-3.

Pioneer will look for its first win next week when it hosts Carnegie.

LAVERNE 54, GARBER 12

LAVERNE — Trevor Harris scored four touchdowns to lead Laverne to a 54-12 win over Garber in a big District B-1 clash.

Harris ran for scores of 47, 3, 18 and 2 yards.

Jordan Avants scored on a 2-yard run for Garber and threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Schnaithman.

The win keeps the Tigers undefeated at 7-0 overall and 6-0 in district. Garber falls to 5-2 and 4-2.

RINGWOOD 47, MEDFORD 26

RINGWOOD — Eudaldo Gomez and Ronaldo Resendiz combined for five touchdowns to lead Ringwood to a 47-26 win over Medford.

Gomez scored on runs of 10, 52 and 38 yards. Resendiz scored on passes of 9 and 46 yards from Braden Moehle.

Tanner Misak scored two touchdowns for Medford, on a 59-yard pass from Alex Koehn and a 1-yard run. He also threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Kilian.

The win improves the Red Devils to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in district. The Cardinals fall to 0-7 and 0-6.

CHEROKEE 36, DCLA 8

LAMONT — Tanner Bowman ran for four touchdowns to lead undefeated Cherokee to a 36-8 win over Deer Creek-Lamont in a District C-3 game.

Bowman’s scoring runs covered 5, 39, 5 and 1 yard. He had 105 yards rushing.

Austin Guffy ran 40 yards for the Chiefs’ other touchdown.

DCLA’s only touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Lawson Thompson to Christian Looper.

Cherokee improves to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in district. DCLA falls to 4-3 and 4-2.

TIMBERLAKE 48, KREM-HILLSDALE 30

HELENA — Timberlake built up a 40-0 lead held off Kremlin-Hillsdale 48-30 in a District C-3 game.

Adrian Carson scored two touchdowns to lead the way as the Tigers got touchdowns from five players.

James Olmstead threw three touchdown passes for Kremlin-Hillsdale, two of them to Hayden Bonine covering 54 and 66 yards. The other scoring pass was 47 yards to Trev Schoenhals.

The win boosts Timberlake to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in district. The Broncs drop to 2-5 and 2-3.

KINGFISHER 61, CENTENNIAL 0

OKLAHOMA CITY — Landon Nault scored seven touchdowns as Kingfisher beat Centennial 61-0 in a District 3A-1 game.

Nault ended up with 213 yards rushing and scored on runs of 2, 21, 1, 5, 45, 5 and 1 yard. He had 199 yards rushing and six touchdowns at the half. Nick Smith scored Kingfisher’s other touchdowns on runs of 2 and 19 yards.

The Yellowjackets improve to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district.

FORGAN 54, WAYNOKA 6

FORGAN — Dalton Lemieux scored two touchdowns and threw for another to lead Forgan to a 54-6 win over Waynoka in a District C-1 contest. Lemieux ran 5 yards for one score and returned a fumble 42 yards for another touchdown. He threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Hall.

The Bulldogs led 38-0 after one period and ended the game at the half on the 45-point mercy rule. The win improves Forgan to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in district. Waynoka falls to 1-6 and 1-5.

FAIRVIEW 49, MOORELAND 6

MOORELAND — Fairview remained undefeated with a 49-6 District A-1 win over Mooreland. The Yellowjackets broke the game open by scoring 42 points in the second and third quarters.

The win boosts Fairview to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district. Mooreland falls to 5-2 and 2-2.

HENNESSEY 64, PAWNEE 3

HENNESSEY — Levi Hill and Octavio Pina scored three touchdowns each as Hennessey routed Pawnee 64-3 in a District 2A-1 game.

Hill scored on runs of 62, 1 and 54 yards. He ended up with 157 yards on just nine carries. Pina scored on runs of 25, 38 and 9 yards. He ended up with 99 yards on six carries. The Eagles improve to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in district.

ANADARKO 35, WOODWARD 0

WOODWARD — R.J. Sink scored three touchdowns to lead Anadarko to a 35-0 win over Woodward in a District 4A-1 game.

The Warriors dominated the contest, holding Woodward to only 73 total yards.

The win improves Anadarko to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district. The Boomers fall to 3-4 and 2-2.

SHARON-MUTUAL 52, BUFFALO 6

SHARON — Cooper Free ran for four touchdowns and threw for two more to lead Sharon-Mutual to a 52-6 over Buffalo in a District C-1 game.

The win improves the Trojans to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in district. The loss drops Buffalo to 4-3 and 4-2.



HOOKER 48, BEAVER 22

HOOKER — Joe Bean scored three touchdowns to lead Hooker to a 48-22 win over Beaver in a District A-1 game.

The win improves Hooker to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in district. Beaver falls to 0-7 and 0-4.
