MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — Minors fall to Liberal Bulldogs

WOODWARD — Liberal Bulldogs held off a late Enid rally to beat the Minors 6-5 at the Woodward Minors Tournament Saturday.

The Minors, down 6-2, scored three runs in the seventh.

“We were pretty tight the first five or six innings,’’ said Enid coach Seth Sturgeon. “I was pleased we were able to make a little noise at the end.’’

Tanner Lingenfelter went for 2-for-3 for the Minors and scored twice. Jonny Chavez went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Enid (0-3) was playing Southwest Baseball late Saturday night. The Minors will play Weatherford and Woodward today.
