Woodward (3-1, 1-0) at Weatherford (1-2, 0-1)  — Woodward is ranked No. 10 in Class 4A after beating Piedmont 32-27 Friday in its District 4A-1 opener. Weatherford tries to bounce back from a 46-14 loss to Clinton. Weatherford leads the series 9-6 since 1980, including three of the last four meetings.

Star Spencer (1-3, 0-1) at Kingfisher (4-0, 1-0) — Kingfisher is ranked No. 2 in Class 3A after shutting out No. 10-ranked Heritage Hall last week. The visiting Bobcats have gone through a tough schedule with losses to Millwood (54-0), Douglass (39-0) and John Marshall (26-20). Kingfisher won last year’s game, 16-0.

Alva (2-2, 0-1) at Perry (1-3, 0-1) — This could be a crucial District 2A-1 game for both teams. Alva tries to come back from its first loss to Chisholm since 2001. Perry tries to bounce back from a 7-6 loss to Tonkawa. Alva leads the series 14-9, having won eight of the last nine meetings, including a 59-22 rout  last season.

Turpin (0-3,0-1) at Fairview (1-3, 0-1) — Last meeting between the two teams for the next two years. Turpin is returning to 8-man in 2014. The Cardinals have lost 20 straight games since a 21-6 win over Shamrock, Texas, on Sept. 16, 2011. Turpin has lost 16 straight district games. Fairview  has lost three straight by a total of only 25 points. The Yellowjackets have scored only three touchdowns over that period. Fairview leads the series 2-1, including a 54-0 shutout last season.

Hooker (1-2, 1-0) at Okeene (3-1, 1-0) — The Whippets strengthened their No. 7 ranking by beating Fairview 14-7 last week. Okeene has allowed only 8.7 points per game — and only three rushing touchdowns and two passing. The longest touchdown play has been 10 yards. Scott Dobrinski scored twice against Fairview. Hooker, after an 0-2 start, beat Turpin 32-22 in its District A-1 opener. Okeene is 6-0 against the Bulldogs since 1995, including a 40-26 victory last season.

Texhoma (2-2, 1-0) at Mooreland (3-1, 0-1) — Mooreland tries to come back from its first loss of the season — 19-13 to OBA last week. Texhoma beat Beaver 49-13 in its District A-1 opener. Texhoma leads the series 19-7 since 1973, and has won the last seven meetings.

Crescent (3-1, 1-0) at Crossings Christian (2-2, 0-1) — Crescent is ranked No. 14 in Class A after beating Carnegie 38-22 in its district opener. Crossings Christian must try to come back from last week’s heartbreaking 55-54 double overtime loss to Watonga .

Watonga (3-1,1-0) at Minco (3-1,1-0) — An early District A-3 showdown. The visiting Eagles have won three straight since opening the season with a 44-27 loss to 4A Elk City.  Minco has won three straight.Watonga has won the last two meetings.

Merritt (4-0, 3-0) at Canton (1-3, 0-3)— Merritt is No. 6 in Class B after handing Garber its first loss of the season, 42-30 last week. The 42 points were the Oilers’ lowest scoring output of the season. Canton has lost three straight since opening the season with a 52-28 win over Geary. Canton is 5-0 against Merritt lifetime, including a 46-34 victory last season.

Laverne (4-0, 3-0) at Medford (0-4, 0-3) — Medford must face No. 1-ranked Laverne after losing to No. 2 Pond Creek-Hunter 38-0 last week. That was the fewest points the Cardinals had allowed this season. The Panthers had a season-low 133 yards rushing in the game. Laverne, the defending Class B state champion, is riding an 18-game winning streak. The Tigers have allowed only 62 yards rushing in their last three games. Laverne won last year’s game 51-6.

Balko (4-0, 2-0) at Buffalo (0-4, 0-3) — Balko is ranked No. 5 in Class C after shutting out Waynoka 20-0 last week. Buffalo is coming off a 52-8 loss to Shattuck. Balko leads the series 14-13 since 1984,

Waynoka (1-3, 1-2) at Goodwell (0-4, 0-2) — Goodwell has scored only four touchdowns this season, three of which came in last week’s 66-22 loss to Boise City. Waynoka has been shut out twice this season. Waynoka leads the series 6-1 since 2004.

Sharon-Mutual (4-0, 1-0) at Boise City (2-2. 2-1) — Sharon-Mutual is ranked No. 3 in Class C. TNo team has rushed for more than 67 yards against Sharon-Mutual this season. Sharon-Mutual leads the series 3-2 .

Tyrone (1-2, 1-1) at Shattuck (3-1, 2-0) — Shattuck has won three straight games. Shattuck leads the series 10-1 since 2002.

Mountain View (2-2) at Cherokee (3-0) — Cherokee has not allowed a score this season. The No. 2-ranked Chiefs have allowed only an average of 27 yards rushing and 10.7 yards passing this season. Six different players have scored touchdowns. Tanner Bowman and Tanner Ducotey both have scored six touchdowns for Cherokee.  Cherokee won last year’s game, 58-12.

 Life Christian (0-4) at Timberlake (2-2) — Winless Life Christian replaced Prue on the Tigers’ schedule. Timberlake beat Prue 54-18 last season. Timberlake is looking for more consistency on defense. The Tigers have given up 84 and 60 points in losses to Ringwood and Sharon-Mutual, but only six and 20 points in wins over Claremore Christian ad DCLA.
