ENID, Okla. —
Enid’s seniors went out winners in their final home game as the Pacers swept Sapulpa 25-11, 25-18, 25-18 at Waller Middle School Tuesday.
Senior Chloe Cordell had 11 kills and one dig. Shaelyn Vaughn had two kills and two digs. Sarah Blakley had six kills, one ace, two blocks and one dig. Grace Enmeier had nine kills, two aces and one block.
Brianna Burrow also saw action in her last home game.
“It’s hard to see that first group head out like that,’’ said EHS coach Steve Bloom about the first group of seniors he’s had for four seasons. “They had a lot of fun tonight. They’re going to be missed next season.’’
McKenna James had three kills, one ace and three blocks. Taylor Smith had four kills, one block and one dig.
Enid (22-10), ranked No. 14 in 6A, goes to Deer Creek Edmond, ranked No. 3 in Class 5A, tonight in its final regular season match. Records for the playoffs were turned in Monday.
“We’re going to have to be ready to play some good volleyball against them,’’ Bloom said. “We’re just waiting to hear what our seed will be for regionals.’’
Regional pairings are expected to be released later this week.
