EHS harriers go to OSU

ENID, Okla. — Enid’s girls will be without No. 1 runner Abby  Resendiz for today’s Oklahoma State University Jamboree cross country meet.

Resendiz will be going to a soccer tryout at the University of Central Oklahoma. The Pacers finished second at last week’s Oklahoma Baptist Invitational, also without Resendiz.

“That puts a damper on everything,’’ said Enid coach Joe Miranov, “but we did run well last week. This meet will give us a good idea of where we stand both as a team and as individuals.’’

The girls will go with a lineup of Tyler Berge, Arely Ramirez, Irene DelaTorre, Kirstyn Mazza and Morgan Cline. Berge was under 14 minutes for the first time this season (13:44) at OBU.

The boys will go with a lineup of Garrett Wallace, Gavin Lack, Jake Taylor, Nate House, Ethan Atwood and Landon Finley. Wallace (18:05) and Lack (18:08) had times in the 18 minutes for the first time this season.

“If we run like we did at OBU, we’ll do pretty well,’’ Miranov said. This is one of the toughest courses in the nation, but we usually have some of our best times over there.’’
