— HESSTON, Kan. – Sophomore forward Marisha Wallace scored a school-record 42 points and the Northern Oklahoma College Enid Lady Jets cruised to a 75-60 victory over SE Nebraska Saturday at the Hesston Classic.

“She’s just playing really well,” said NOC Enid head coach Scott Morris. “She’s one of the strongest post players we’ve had and she makes good, strong moves once she gets the ball.”

Wallace was named tournament MVP. Rylie Swanson earned all-tournament team honors. Kati Sullivan had 12 points in Saturday’s win.

The Lady Jets (7-5) completed a two-game sweep at the tournament. NOC Enid defeated Bethel JV  100-13 Friday in its opening game.

After building a 32-22 halftime lead, the Lady Jets never looked back.

“We got some things done that we needed to do and cleaned up a few things,” Morris said. “We made some steps heading back into conference play.”

The Lady Jets play Northeastern A&M Tuesday at the Mabee Center.

Northern Oklahoma College Enid rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat SE Nebraska 78-76 Saturday at the Hesston Classic.

The Jets (7-2) were led by Jeremy Espinoza’s game-high 20 points in securing their second straight win in the two-day tournament. NOC Enid downed Tabor JV 86-41 on Friday.

NOC Enid rallied midway through the second-half to take a 61-60 lead, which it never relinquished.

“We came out in the second-half with energy,” said NOC Enid assistant coach Ryan Mahoney. “We played hard and gave maximum effort.”

Joining Espinoza in double-digit scoring for the Jets was Kyndall Dudley with 14 points and Connor Brooks with 13.

The Jets return home Tuesday to the Mabee Center to face conference rival Northeastern A&M as part of the men’s-women’s doubleheader.
