OU, OSU women post victories

NORMAN, Okla. — Nicole Griffin scored 15 points and No. 11 Oklahoma opened with a 19-0 run Sunday, beating Saint Louis 68-33 in women’s basketball action.

The Sooners (2-1) held the Billikens (0-3) to 10 points in the first half, tying a school record.

Aaryn Ellenberg scored 13 points and Whitney Hand had 11 points,  six rebounds, four assists and three steals, for the Sooners.

 OSU 101 WEBER STATE 49

STILLWATER (AP) — LaShawn Jones scored 18 points, leading five Cowgirls players in double figures, and No. 22 Oklahoma State rolled to an easy victory over Weber State on Sunday, 101-49.

Toni Young had 17 points for OSU (3-0) and Liz Donohoe scored 13. Lindsey Keller and Brittney Martin had 10 points each, with Martin and Jones contributing eight rebounds.
