Lady Jets ready for prime time against Rose State

ENID, Okla. — Northern Oklahoma College Enid’s softball team will host Rose State College in a doubleheader at 6 tonight at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

The Lady Jets (23-8, 6-4) are riding a four-game conference winning streak after sweeping rival NOC Tonkawa, 4-2 and 10-2 Thursday at Pacer Field.

Summer Leitka, who had 13 strikeouts against the Lady Mavericks Thursday and Kendra Coleman, the winning pitcher in the second game, are expected to pitch for the Lady Jets.

Laci Shipp (five homers, 13 RBI) leads the Lady Jets with a .413 average. She has three home runs in her last four games. Jazmine White is hitting .385 with three homers and 13 RBI.

Coleman is hitting .375 wtih five homers and 31 RBI, followed by Aaliyah Sebock (.330, one homer, 18  RBI), Avery Walker (.329, eight RBI)  Taylor Todd (.325 with five homers and 26 RBI), Selika Shives (.324, three homers, 10 RBI) and Bailey King (.310, five RBI)

Rose State is 14-15 overall and 2-8 in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference after dropping a doubleheader to Connors State, 5-0 and 3-0 on Thursday.

The Lady Raiders are led by shortstop Cheyenne Johnson (.390, 19 RBI) and Nikki Horton (.380, 9 RBI).
