OKLAHOMA CITY — —
Westmoore pounded out 14 hits on its way to a 17-3 rout of Enid in high school softball action Thursday.
Enid scored twice in the top of the first to go ahead, but struggled on the mound and in the field early. Westmoore took advantage of three walks, five wild pitches and two errors to take command of the game after two innings.
Ally Lewis was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI for the Pacers, who dropped to 7-15 overall and 2-7 in District 6A-4.
Shelley Mueller was 2-for-3. Abby Lee had a double. Enid had seven hits overall. Haven Bay was 1-for-3.
“We hit the ball well,’’ said Enid coach Marsha Cusack. “We had trouble throwing strikes tonight. When we did, we got it right over the middle and Westmoore is a good enough team to make you pay the consequences.’’
