Liddell to hold soccer camps in July



Enid soccer coach Craig Liddell, the technical director of the Pumas & Pride, will direct two weeks of soccer camps next month.

A camp for high school-age players will be July 20-24 with sessions from 9 a.m-noon and 1:30-3 p.m..Cost is $55 and includes a camp T-shirt.

A camp for players 5 years old to Under 14 will be from 9 a.m-noon July 27-31. The session for 5 and 6-year olds will be from 9-10:45.

Cost is $80 and $50 for the 5 and 6-year olds and includes a camp T-shirt and certificate.

Enid Soccer Club looking for coaches



Enid Soccer Club is looking for qualified coaches for all of its competitive teams.

Those interested should contact Stacy Albright at 366-9585.



Pumas & Pride set soccer team tryouts



Enid Soccer Club will hold tryouts for the Pumas & Pride competitive teams, ages Under 11 through Under 19 8-10 a.m. July 11 and 7:30-9 p.m. July 12 at the Enid Soccer Complex.

Players should be there at least 30 minutes early to sign in.

They need to bring water, soccer shoes, shin-guards and a soccer ball.

EHS summer pride to begin on Monday



The Enid football program will begin summer pride workouts Monday.

High school players will work out 7:30 to 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

Junior high players will work out from 9-10 a.m. Monday through Thursday.



Middle school softball drills start Thursday



Enid middle school fastpitch softball practice will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Pacer Field.

All girls planning on playing for the Enid middle school team need to attend, Enid High School coach Lee Linsenmeyer said. The team is for girls entering grades 6-8.

Wheat Capital golf registration begins



Registration has begun for the 2009 Wheat Capital Golf Tournament Aug. 1-2 at Meadowlake Golf Course. Fees are $85.

Entry forms are available at the Meadowlake pro shop.

Entry deadline is 6 p.m. July 27. The field will be limited to the first 144 paid entries. Entry forms must be filled out completely and paid to secure a spot in the field.

No green fees at Northern Hills July 4-5



Northern Hills Golf Course will offer free green fees today in memory of the late Jim Atkinson.

The course will be open beginning at 7 a.m.

Northern Hills Men’s Golf Association will have its first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Registration begins for YMCA/NOC camp



Registration is on for the Denny Price Family YMCA/Northern Oklahoma College Enid basketball camps.

The camp for grades 3-6 will be July 20-24 at the Mabee Center. The camp for 4-year old to second grade will be July 27-31 at the YMCA.

Cost is $50 for members and $75 for non-members. Entry deadline is July 15. For information, call the YMCA at 237-4645.





Pioneer Colts set youth football camp



Pioneer-Enid Colts football punt, pass and kick football camp will run July 20-21 and July 23-24. A cookout will be held the last night.

Non-Pioneer district players will be charged $15 for the non-contact camp.

College players will be instructors. Speakers will be announced.
