Letter: No hope and no cash

ENID, Okla. — My water bill this month is the same as last month, $63.81.

A city worker came out and looked at my meter. He said my stool was leaking.

I fixed that, and the bill is the same as last month. Once it goes up, it stays up.

City Manager Eric Benson needs it for all the Mr. Benson “Bulldozer” work he has done with the good buildings.

When I went in the City Hall to talk to someone about it, they are all youngsters. They think it is funny.

The next city manager will have to deal with the big money owed that he has gotten us into. Mr. Benson needs to go to Washington, where all the big spenders are. He would fit right in.

Twenty-five years ago, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope. Now, we have Obama, no cash and no hope.
