Letter: Keep the trucks out

Enid News and Eagle

ENID, Okla. — Work continues on the southwest portion of the Enid Trails System. Repairs are being made on some old sections and ground has been broken for the trailhead on Cleveland.

People are cooperating more with each other in terms of sharing the trail and announcing their presence.

However, improvements still need to be made. The signage stating “NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES”  is not just for you and me.

For the maintenance and upkeep of the trail, this means everyone. This includes utility vehicles also.

We already have had the trail cracked in three places that required replacement concrete due to a heavy utility truck.

Just last week, one business’ truck was sitting on the trail, and they obviously had to go around the trail post to get there.

Please, no trucks. The trail is for the enjoyment of everyone. Let’s all work together to make this new feature in our city attractive and enjoyable.
