Letter: Beware of hypocrisy

Enid News & Eagle

ENID, Okla. — Think before you speak!

I believe that Mr. Rasp and Mr. Comstock should stop and think a little bit about who they are slamming. Apparently, they are of the Democrat party, and I’ll tell them something for sure: The Democrat party has nothing to crow about.

Mr. Rasp, you slammed Gov. Mary Fallin and referred to her as above the law, like Nixon.

Don’t you think you ought to take a good look at Obama and his administration when you talk about above the law?

How about “fast and furious,” and the situation in Libya, plus appointing to the Labor Board while the Senate is still in session, and all the executive orders?

Also, how about Bill Clinton? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Jesus said, “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in they brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to they brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.” (Matthew 7:3-5, KJV)

I am a conservative, and you refer to us as the party of “no.” I think it is about time you woke up to what your party of “yes” is doing to our country.

Jesus also said, “He that is without sin amongst you, let him first cast a stone at her.” (St. John 8:7, KJV)

As Kelly Ogle says, “That is my two cents worth.” Remember, the pendulum only swings so far.
