Immigration continues to be pushed to the forefront of the debate in Congress. An impassioned topic, activists and lobbyists on both sides of the issue have been working the hall of Congress for months, making their voices heard.
Now, it’s our turn. Every August and early September, members of Congress travel their districts conducting town hall meetings, listening to their constituents and taking those ideas back to Washington.
Congressman Frank Lucas is holding a town hall meeting from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. today at Northern Oklahoma College (Briggs Auditorium), 100 South University Ave., Enid.
I encourage you to attend and hear directly from Congressman Lucas. Ask a question, hear their views on an important issue like immigration, tell them how you feel about it and become part of the debate.
Oklahoma isn’t like the rest of the country. Our members of Congress work incredibly hard, and we should be proud of our representation in Washington.
