Letter: Pedestrian responsibility

Enid News and Eagle

ENID, Okla. — When I was a young girl, my mother and father told me to always look both ways when crossing a busy street.

When I was with my children and later grandkids, I always told them, “We look both ways before we cross.”

Why can’t these people crossing Van Buren on the walking trail do this?

If they are too busy walking to pay attention, then they shouldn’t be out walking or running.

The city can always just put up a crossing sign.
