Letter: Enid’s Vietnam Wall needs financial help

ENID, Okla. — Many of us my age did not serve in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam so-calledconflict, but, in reality, it was a war.

All men and women who served in any and all capacities are heroes and sacrificed so much.

I sacrificed the loss of some friends who gave their lives for us, their families and our country. I was not in a position to do my fair share then, and now have an opportunity to help in a very important way.

Enid’s Vietnam Memorial Wall has not come to fruition yet and is in need of financial assistance. Those of us who sacrificed so little now have the opportunity to assist with the successful consummation by contributing financially. This is insignificant in comparison. However, it has helped fill a void in my heart.

We can all help reach this worthwhile goal by contacting Bob Farrell at 541-3776 or Dan Ohnesorge at 747-9009. Thank you for considering and/or being a positive force in the completion of the installation which will honor these “true” heroes!
