Letter: Detroit: Albatross around the neck

ENID, Okla. — The bankrupt city of Detroit has 74 separate employees unions to contend with.

How would any organization be able to function with that kind of an albatross hanging around its neck?

Our pro-union president has been studying the proposed pipeline from Canada to the Texas Coast for more than four years, and has yet to make a decision that would make our nation energy independent.

If pipelines could be laid from the Bakken area of North Dakota to transport natural gas, then they would not have to flare it. It is said that burning natural gas makes the area hard to tell night from day.

I wonder how many people other than me doubt which side Obama represents.

Detroit was once a thriving jewel of nearly 2 million people just a few decades ago. Now it’s down to about 750,000.
