Letter: Woman is offended by vehicle tag lawsuit

Enid News & Eagle

— In the June 12 Enid paper, was an article “OKC resident says statue infringes on his Christian beliefs.” All because our Oklahoma car tag has an Indian “rain god” on it.

I personally find his lawsuit offensive. “Oklahoma” translated is “Home of the Red Man.” Why doesn’t he call that racially biased and sue to have Oklahoma change its name to something else? Makes as much sense to me as the other.

For the record, I am Full Gospel. If the Bible says it, I believe it, and try to live it!

I live near Seiling. The Cheyanne-Arapaho have their “Sun Dance” every year on Indian land that just happens to be located behind the Seiling schools. Should it be outlawed? For religious reasons? Near a school?

He did right when he bought his specialty license plate. Personally, I find some of them offensive.

Maybe we should outlaw their ridiculous and/or frivolous lawsuits.
