A “sacred conversation,” which can be about virtually any topic, is a candid, gracious, safe, loving, honest and respectful conversation. This Sunday you are invited to participate in a sacred conversation on race.
It is an opportunity to talk about progress that has been made, and what we might learn from that for further progress. It is an opportunity to talk about obstacles to progress, and about resources through which they might be transcended.
It is an opportunity that should not be missed. To be sure, this sacred conversation will be just a start — but in the words of Steve Martin’s theme song, “This Could Be the Start of Something Big.”
It all starts are 4 p.m. Sunday at University Place Christian Church, 2107 E. Broadway, in the downstairs fellowship hall. An elevator is available and an elevated discussion is anticipated.
