ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Joy Nell Ray, 72, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. today, Jan. 9, 2013, at Garland Road Baptist Church, with Dr. Greg Hook officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Joy was born Dec. 11, 1940, to Homer F. and Ruby (Bond) Stewart in Henryetta, Okla., and passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in Enid.

Joy grew up in Dewar, Okla., and graduated from Dewar High School.

She married Hubert Ray of Schulter, Okla., on Jan. 24, 1959.

Enid has been Joy’s home since 1962, and she was a member of Garland Road Baptist Church.  

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Angela Dee Ray; her parents, Homer and Ruby Stewart; and sister, Frances Clark.

Joy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Leigh Ray of Enid; foster son, John Cline and wife Jennifer of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Lexis and Caden; brother, Jeryl Stewart of Dewar; and two sisters, Betty Ragan of Henryetta, and Velma Mullins of Chouteau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, COPD division.
