ENID, OK — Funeral for Amy Belle Ross, 92, Enid, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Pastor Lesly Broadbent will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in New Home Cemetery, Dover, under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Mrs. Ross was born October 11, 1920, in Meeker, Colorado, and passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in Enid.

She was raised in Colorado, moving to Enid after marrying Bert Ross.

She worked as a seamstress for Asphalt Dress Company and also owned and operated rides at Meadowlake Park. Mrs. Ross was affiliated with Willow View United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Maples, and brother Bob Coleman; daughter, Jeanette White; three grandchildren, Russell Ross and wife Teresa, who also was Mrs. Ross’ caretaker for the last five years, of the residence, and Russell’s children, Kayla Ross, Casey Ross and Danielle Clayton, and Chris Loshke and Kerry Potter; numerous great-great-grandchildren, including Alana and Braiden Marsh.

Mrs. Ross was preceded in passing by her husband, son Delbert and her parents.

     De was born June 2, 1926, in Medford, the son of George Alexander and Myrtle Biby Hamilton. De graduated from Gore High School. He entered the U.S. Navy on July 3, 1944 and was discharged on June 13, 1946. After De returned to Medford, he and Emma Jean Carrier were married on Sept. 29, 1946, in Nash. De worked as a butcher and retired in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medford and was ordained as a Deacon in 1951.

     Pauline was born April 8, 1924, at Butler, in Custer County, Okla., the daughter of Walter and Orla Baird Connolly. She and Loren E. Hopkins were married on Sept. 14, 1952, in Jet and they made their home in Jet, where she continued to live until April 16, 2014. She was a homemaker and caregiver who cared for others many times. Pauline was a member of the First Christian Church in Nash and also was a member of Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. She was an active member of Jet Industrious Oklahoma Home and Community Education organization.
