Virginia L. Tunis, 80, of Garber, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Elmer and Minnie Ellen (Lambert) Sowles. She was born April 28, 1932, in Roxanne, Oklahoma, and died Thursday, January 17, 2013, in Enid, Oklahoma.
Virginia enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and friends.
She married her sweetheart, Charles Eugene Tunis, November 12, 1949, in Covington, Oklahoma.
Funeral will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Covington First Baptist Church, Covington, Oklahoma. Rev. Jody Schmidt will officiate. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery, Garber, Oklahoma. Services are under direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Garber, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at the funeral home.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Alan and his wife, Carol; four daughters, Cathy and husband Derle, Donna, Sharon and Janet and husband John; 11 grandchildren, Alicia, Christie, Brandi, Jimmy, Michael, Steven, Stephanie, Matthew, Jennie, Megan and Josie; sisters, Lela and Marthella; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Minnie; brothers, George, Ronald, Glen and Melburn; and sisters, Myrtle, Nina, Mabel and Ilene.
