As an active member of First Baptist Church in Midland, Deon served in Golf Carts Ministry and on Trail Partners Ministry that mentors with students at Sam Houston Elementary School. He will truly be missed by all.

He was a loving husband to Dianna Christensen. He leaves a son, Scott Christensen of Edgar, WI; one stepson, Sean Chaney and wife Andi; two granddaughters of Midland, TX; and stepdaughter Katheleen Chaney of San Angelo, TX.
