ENID, Okla. —
A visitation for John Henry Walsh, M.D., 78, will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
John was born to John and Florence (Neagley) Walsh on Feb. 16, 1934, in Old Forge, Pa., and passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at his home in Enid.
John received his M.D. from Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia. He did his internship in Bethlehem, Pa.
John served in the U.S. Army as a captain and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic.
On July 7, 1956, he married Roberta McCurdy in Metuchen, N.J. They moved to Enid in 1968, where he was a radiologist at St. Mary’s and Bass hospital’s until his retirement.
Dr. Walsh was past president of Garfield County Medical Society and was a member of Oklahoma State Medical Society. He enjoyed horseback riding, penning and farming.
John is survived by his wife, Roberta of the home; children, Lynn Hunt and husband Jay of Frisco, Texas, Susan Krowka and husband Tom of Pawleys Island, S.C., Ruth Walsh and husband Roger of Creedmoor, N.C., Meg Mendoza of Menlo Park, Calif., and Janet Biggs of Tulsa; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
