ENID, Okla. —
Funeral service for Mildred “Millie” Garrett will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Pat Sutherland officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery, Wichita Falls, Texas. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Millie was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Atwood, Okla., the daughter of Dencil and Cecilia (Harris) Warnock.
She attended school in Atwood through the 10th grade.
Millie married Bill Garrett on Nov. 1, 1941. Millie and Bill traveled the world, as she was a military wife and mother. They retired in Wichita Falls, Texas.
When Bill died in 1972, Millie moved to the Enid area and has lived here since that time. Millie was a member of Christian Church of the Covenant.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Ken Reeves of Carrier, Okla.; two grandchildren, Kyle and Amy Reeves of Chicago, Ill., and Whitney and Jeremy Simons of Nairobi, Kenya; and three great-grandchildren.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorial donations may be made to DOOR International in Whitney and Jeremy Simons’ name. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home will serve as custodian of the funds.
