The funeral for Melton E. “Mel” Adams, 88, of Springdale, Ark., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Hot Springs, Ark. and died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale.
He married Golda, June 4, 1949. He worked as a sales representative for Allis-Chalmers out of Vater Implement, Enid, many years. He served in the Army Air Corps and Air Force during and after World War II. He was past president of Skeleton Valley Beagle Club.
Surviving are his wife, Golda of the home; one son, Johnnie Watson Adams of Little Rock; one sister, Deloris Vereb of Springdale; and one granddaughter.
