Donald B. Evans

Enid, OK — The funeral service for Donald B. Evans, 80, will be 10 a.m. today, November 4, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Edmison will officiate. Cremation arrangements are made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Donald was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Shidler, Okla., to Leonard and Sylvia Shepard Evans and died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

He worked for Luckin-bill’s for 34 years. He was owner and mechanic for No. 57 stock car for many years. Donald was an avid NASCAR fan.

He married Thelma Ward Feb. 1, 1949, in Newkirk, Okla.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; his children, Sue Neal and husband Frank, Barbara Struck and husband T.W., Gary Evans and wife Janet and Mark Evans; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Henry-McGann, Gracie Ro-berts; and brother, Leon Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Steven.
