The funeral for Irvin Gale Mullins, 82, of Waynoka will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Waynoka First Christian Chuch. The Revs. Aaron Nutter and Mike Paddy will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC. The casket will remain closed at the church.
He was born Sept. 7, 1925, at Quinlan to William Oscar and Clara Eva Atkins Mullins and died Thursday, July 17, 2008, at his home.
He graduated from Quinlan High School. He then enlisted in the Navy and served on the U. S. S. Hornsby. He married Leveda Erlene Stevens July 23, 1946, at Medicine Lodge, Kan. They made their home in Waynoka. He worked as a Crew Clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad. He also farmed and ranched. He was an active member of the Waynoka First Christian Church, serving on the board. He was active in his community helping the Saddle Club with the Snake Hunt, giving tours for the Historical Society.
Surviving are his wife, Erlene of the home; two sons, Irvin Allen Mullins of Waynoka, and Michael Kelly Mullins of Avard; and one sister, Leona Rickman; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son and one sister.
Memroials may be made through the funeral home to Waynoka First Christian Church.
