Myrtle Ruth Nine

— The funeral for Myrtle Ruth Nine, 83, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Fairview United Methodist Church, Slapout community. The Revs. Bill Long and Carl Nine will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Follett, Texas. Arrangements are by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home of Laverne. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. today, July 5, 2009, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born April 20, 1926, to Vinnie Coy and Emma June Hummer Troutt, and died Thursday, July 2, 2009, in Booker, Texas.
She graduated from Follett High School in 1944. She attended Panhandle State University, Goodwell, for teachers training in 1945. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and Slapout Community Exten-sion Homemakers.
She married Kenneth William Nine Oct. 12, 1947, in Slapout. He died Jan. 31, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Dean Nine of Fargo and David Lynn Nine of Laverne; one daughter, Kimberlee June Nine of Okla-homa City; three brothers, Ray Troutt of Helena, Marvin Troutt of Topeka, Kan., and George Troutt of Satana, Kan.; and one sister, Ruby June Piersall, of Perryton, Texas.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Voice of the Martyrs.
