Enid, OK — A private family service is planned for Jerry Lee McVicker, 65, of Douglas. Arrangements are by Henniner-Hinson Funeral Home. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 10, 1943, in Douglas to Ernest and Opal Clarke McVicker and died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

He was raised in Douglas and graduated from Douglas High School.

He worked most of his career in the oil fields and later in carpentry and cabinetry.

Surviving are one daughter, Shiloh; five siblings, David McVicker of Douglas, Martha Carter of Enid, Sharon Pope and Terry McVicker, both of Canton and Geneva Drake of Skiatook; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Douglas Cemetery fund.
