William Mygrant

The funeral for William J. “Wild Bill” Mygrant, 64, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Walter Gamble will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.
He was born March 31, 1945, to Cadet William L. Mygrant and Bertha Mason and died Friday, June 26, 2009.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1963. He attended the University of Oklahoma before enlisting in the Air Force, where he served in Italy, Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines and Vietnam. He returned home in 1972, resuming his studies at both Oklahoma State University and OU and graduating in 1975. He was a resident doctor and certified dynamite blaster for Billy Bob Mines in Nevada and California until 1980. He returned to Enid to work in the oil fields.
Surviving are one son, Jason Mason Mygrant; one daughter, Lindsay Mygrant of Lake Havasu, Calif.; his mother, Bertha Mygrant of Enid; and one sister, Shirley Powell of Waukomis.
He was preceded in death by his father.
