— The funeral for Donna Rose McDowell Hammock, 78, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
She was born April 9, 1931, in Ames to Waldo and Agnes Durgan McDowell and died Saturday, June 27, 2009, in Guthrie.
She graduated from Ames High School. She married John Hammock Aug. 12, 1950, in Ames. They settled in Enid after his military service, where she was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, John “Jack” Hammock and Bill Hammock, both of Enid; one daughter, Debbie Prather of Guthrie; one brother, Eddie McDowell of Enid; two sisters, Glenna Simpson of Helena, Mont., and Veta Munns of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, one daughter, one son, one sister, one brother and one granddaughter.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Companion Hospice of Guthrie.
