The funeral for Eldora Holt will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Dan Barrick will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 23, 1922, northwest of Fairview to John and Elizabeth Ollenberger Wichert and died Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She married William B. Holt Oct. 1, 1940. He died Feb. 15, 1989. She was music director for many years at Maine Nazarene Church. She directed choirs, sang specials and taught children’s Sunday school classes and vacation Bible school. She worked in the Enid school system cafeteria for 27 years. She was main cook at Enid High School, and main cake, pie and bread baker at Dewitt Waller Jr. High and Emerson Jr. High. She was part of the cookie ministry of First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are her brother, Alvin Wichert of Enid; three children, Glen Holt of Oklahoma City, Carolyn Lunn of Guthrie and Marvin Holt of Enid; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Assembly of God Church.
