Cecil B. Powers

— The graveside service for Cecil B. Powers, 81, of Wewoka, formerly of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, in Waukomis Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born July 21, 1927, in McClain County to George Washington and Myrtle Faye Arnold Powers and died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Elmwood Nursing Home, Wewoka.
He was raised and educated in Wewoka, attended Wewoka Junior School. He lived in Wewoka, Red Rock, Perry and later moved to Enid. He was a farmer for more than 30 years, retiring in 1984.
He married Roxie Schneeberger Oct. 11, 1961, in Oklahoma City. She died Dec. 14, 1995.
Surviving are one brother, Bobby Joe Powers, and one sister, Betty Joyce Wade, both of Wewoka.
In addition to his wife, Roxie, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the charity of donor’s choice.
