Rodney Lynn Crissup

Rodney Lynn Crissup, 50, of rural Coyle, Okla., passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, in The Colony, Texas. His funeral service has been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, Okla., and will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Friends Church, near Coyle, with Pastor Merl Kinser officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
Mr. Crissup was born Jan. 14, 1959, in Cherokee, Okla., the son of Dwayne and Carolyn (Longan) Crissup. He lived in Helena the first 12 years of his life, then moved to Ringwood, where he lived for two years before moving to Perkins, where he graduated from high school in 1977. He moved to Fort Lupton, Colo., one and a half years ago. He was a member of Friends Chapel in Coyle. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gun collecting, watching The History Channel on TV about stories on war military life and he also raised cattle. He formerly worked for Lambert Construction.
Rodney is survived by his father, Dwayne Crissup of Stillwater; his mother and stepfather, Carolyn Sullins and husband Max of Perkins; his twin brother, Randy Crissup of Coyle; aunts and uncles, Gary and Janice Crissup and Clarence and Jeanne Crissup, all of Helena, Jack and Debra Crissup of Tulsa, J.D. and Loretta Longan of Perry, Kathryn Bostian of Perkins, Gary and Evelyn Crenshaw of Coyle; several nieces and nephews including Cristy Neumann and Scott Crissup; and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
