Daisy M. Daughhetee

The funeral for Daisy M. Daughhetee, 95, of Freedom, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Freedom Christian Church. Ted Ledford, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Home, Alva.
She was born Oct. 19, 1912, to Luther and Bertha Simmons French and died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Alva Share Convalescent Home.
She attended Houston Valley School and graduated from the eighth grade. She married Delmer Dotter March 17, 1930. He preceded her in death. She married Virgil Lawrence Daughhetee March 5, 1951, in Tulsa. He also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a waitress at Freedom Cafe. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Freedom Christian Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Dolores Holbrook and Coleen McGinley, both of Tulsa, Eutahona Ledford of Chickasha and Kay Kreklau of Elkhart, Kan.; four sons, Buddie Dotter of Utica, Mich., Leo Dotter of Arlington, Texas, and Rob Daughhetee and Michael Daughhetee, both of Freedom; 27 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Delmer and Virgil, she was preceded in death by one daughter, three grandsons, one great-granddaughter, three brothers and five sisters.
