The funeral for Billie Sheryl Mucker, 50, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Greater New Zion Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. The Rev. J.H. Tucker will officiate. A wake service will be 6 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at Bethaney Baptist Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Watonga.
She was born March 15, 1958, in Oklahoma City to Billy and Irene Mucker and died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, near Hinton.
She grew up in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1976. She later graduated from Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, with a degree in mental health. Following graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City, where she worked for Red Rock Behavioral Health Services for five years. For the past 21 years, she worked for Hertz Corporation in the domestic sales department, international sales department and the alpha special services department. She also owned a multi-level marketing business through Excel Telecommunications, achieving the level of executive director. She did missionary work and was a member of Greater New Zion Baptist Church, where she sang in the mass choir and served as one of the choir directors. She also attended Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton.
Surviving are her father, the Rev. Billy Mucker of Clinton; four sisters, Freda Farrow of Moreno Valley, Calif., Janice Booker and Laretha Norwood, both of Richardson, Texas, and Norma Franklin of Arlington, Texas; and one brother, Billy Mucker of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her mother, one sister and a brother.
