— The funeral for Jim Caywood, 71, of Alva, will be 6 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at Wharton Funeral chapel. Sean Evans, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
He was born Dec. 11, 1936, at Vining to Loren and Bessie Cofield Caywood and died Friday, May 2, 2008, at Share Medical Center, Alva.
He graduated from Jet High School in 1954. He served in the Marine Corps and worked as a fireman at Kegelman Air Base and as a lineman for Alfalfa Electric Cooperative. He later farmed.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; one son Vern; one daughter, Janet; one brother, Earl Caywood; two sisters, Velma Miller and Bea Harper; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
