The funeral for David Lee Harrison, PA-C, 46, of Enid, formerly of Lawton, will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Freedom Christian Fellowship, Lawton. Nick Lovenburg, pastor, will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. Arrangements are by Becker Funeral Home, Lawton.
He was born Aug. 12, 1961, in Fort Riley, Kan., to Edward and Haruko Kojima Harrison and died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Enid.
He grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif. He joined the military and was stationed at Fort Sill in 1986. He married Sherrie M. Barber July 2, 1988, in Lawton. He served in the Iraq War in 1991, caring for the injured. He was discharged with honors in 1992. He attended the University of Oklahoma and became a physician’s assistant. He was a member of OAPA. He moved his family to Enid in 2002, where he worked in the emergency room at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital. He also worked at Urgent Care on weekends. He went to the county jail once a week and took care of the inmates.
Surviving are his wife, Sherrie of the home; two sons, William Harrison of the home and Jesse Harrison of Colorado; his parents, Edward and Haruko Harrison of California; and one sister, Mary White of California.
