The funeral for Milton M. Greb, 84, of Enid/Waukomis will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home chapel. David Jones, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Bierig Cemetery north of Okeene. Visitation with the family will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
He was born July 19, 1923, in Okeene to Ezra and Clara Geis Greb and died Thursday, May 1, 2008.
He attended Okeene schools. He served in the Army during World War II. He was with Troop E 5th Calvary in the Asian Pacific Theater 18 months. He received the Asian Pacific Theater Ribbon with Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star, Victory Ribbon Occupation of Japan, and two overseas bars. He was also awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the military police. He married Helen Reisig Oct. 16, 1947, in Okeene, where they made their home. He worked in the farming industry.
Surviving are his wife, Helen of the home; five children, Jeff Greb, Gene Greb, Judy Marek, Ginger Pitman and Vicki Cumpston; three sisters, Mae Reames, Betty Unruh and Beverly Kopf; one brother, Verlin Greb; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one infant brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to The Commons activity fund.
